The human microbiome is often assumed to consist of the digestive track, starting with the stomach, then small/large intestines, etc.  But to overlook the role of the mouth and the teeth as the starting point for digestion would be a big mistake.  Modern dental work has a significant impact on the function of the microbiome. In fact, we are going to start OUTSIDE the body with the impact of a healthy soil microbiome before it even enters the system.  Dental health also needs to be seen from an electrical viewpoint, as we consider the meridians that are linked to each tooth and how they are tied to specific organs, resulting in the need for detoxification. We will look at the top 10 most used drugs in dentistry and discuss deprescribing.  Next, we will look at specific modalities such as herbs and physical manipulation for remediation. It would be a mistake to overlook the significance of mental/emotional wellness on digestion. Finally, we will address intestinal health and modalities for restoration. Join us on this journey from “teeth to tail.”
