The Naturopathic Medicine Institute is dedicated to educating the public about steps they can take every day to improve their health and wellness. We believe it is part of our calling to help you understand what it takes to achieve “Real Health,” and are committed to providing you with the tools and knowledge you need to make better health decisions for yourself and your family.
In this course, we will start to provide you with a framework, a structure of philosophy, that will help you to understand how to think about health care and the questions you should be asking to ensure that you are moving towards healing. We will teach you about Vitalistic Naturopathic Medicine (what is it and how is it different?) and will help you to understand the stages of healing and the signs you should be looking for that healing is taking place.
As Hippocrates famously said, “let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.” Your food should be the first place you look to bring about real change, and we will teach you how to do this. Water is next on the list. How much should you have each day and how do you figure out if it is clean or not? Do you need supplements? If so, where should you buy them and how do you make sure the potential goodness of that supplement will actually make it into your cells to provide the necessary nutrients for restoration of health?
Finally, we will be talking about treatments you can do at home to address common, everyday symptoms and encourage your body’s own innate healing ability.
Join us for this unique learning opportunity, taught by NMI Elders, and some of our most experienced NDs, as well H.R. Payne, Vice President of Business Development, of AzureWell. Azure Standard and AzureWell are invaluable to the NMI, as a reliable source of high-quality food and food-based supplements. The integrity of Azure and its products allows our doctors to concentrate on the job of healing patients, knowing that these products will support that effort, every step of the way.
