Vital Gathering 2027 will honor the principles, therapeutic traditions, and physicians who shaped naturopathic medicine while exploring how vitalism can guide practitioners through today’s rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
Established in 2007, the Naturopathic Medicine Institute celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2027. This special gathering will honor the physicians and teachers who established the Institute, the community that has sustained its mission, and the enduring principles of vitalistic naturopathic medicine.
Under the early leadership of founding president James Sensenig, ND, VNMI, NMI became a place where naturopathic physicians could gather in conversation, deepen their clinical understanding, and preserve the philosophy and therapeutic traditions of the medicine. Twenty years later, Vital Gathering 2027 will celebrate that history while looking thoughtfully toward the future of the profession.
The developing program will give particular attention to endocrine and metabolic health, including evolving hormonal therapies, emerging pharmaceutical trends, and the enduring importance of individualized, vitalistic care.
Through clinical education, philosophical discussion, hands-on demonstrations, and conversations among experienced naturopathic physicians, attendees will consider what must be remembered from the past, what is being asked of the profession in the present, and how naturopathic medicine can move thoughtfully and confidently into the future.
